                              SPACE QUEST III 

                         -THE PIRATES OF PESTULON- 

 

                              The Solution.

                    (It took me 5 hours to complet it.) 

 

You begin your quest in a big Spacship, so let's start there. 

 

CHAPTER ONE: THE ESCAPE 

 

Enter the room with the elevator wich takes the junk to the garbage 

disposer, board the elevator and you will be transported to a moving floor, 

stand up and jump. Hopefully you will grab the rail wich lies above, walk 

left untill you enter a room with a robot. Board the grabber and travel east 

(one screen). Stop the grabber at the right edge of the screen and press the 

grabber's button, a claw will descend and grab the warp motivator, travel 

east untill your grabber comes to an end, press the button again and the 

claw will drop the motivator on your spaceship. Travel back to the robotroom 

and enter the chute. Search for a hole in the west wall and take the reactor 

which lies in it (the lights will go out). Climb the ladder and go the the 

room with the tanker stage, move on and you will be robbed by a rat. Get the 

wire wich hangs on the wall, travel back to the chute room and grab the 

reactor again. Climb the ladder and take it(yes,take the ladder!!). Go to the 

robot head and enter it. Drop the ladder at the base of the large ship. 

Climb the ladder and enter the ship. Put the reactor in the open panel and 

use the wire to connect it(type 'use wire'). Sit in the seat and examine the 

computer. Start the engines and turn on the radar. Take off, after a while 

you will stop, when you do so just start the weapon system. Turn on the 

front shields and blast a hole in the big spaceship, and you are free.... 

 

 

CHAPTER TWO: PHLEEBHUT 

 

Select the navigation system and scan the universe, set your course to 

Phleebhut. Use light speed and wait. After a while you will approach the 

planet, land on it and go out. Walk north through the "desert?" until you 

find the gigantic robot beast. Enter the World o' Wonder and sell your gem 

for 425 Buckazoids, buy orat on a stick, underwear and a Astro Chicken 

Flight hat. When you leave the shop you will be grabbed by the mean Robot, 

when he release you, run one screen west and enter the beast's foot. Press 

the up button on the elevator and climb the stairs. Stand just left of the 

rope pulley and wait for the Robot, when he come close to you push the 

pulley. The robot will be hit by it, loose balance and fall into the gears. 

Search the robot's remains and get the belt. Take the elevator down again 

and return to the ship. 

 

 

CHAPTER THREE: ORTEGA 

 

Select your course again, this time to Ortega(always use light speed). 

When you lands on the planet wear your underwear and leave the ship. Walk 

west and south(watch out so you don't fall over the edge). Enter the camp of 

the pirates and wait until they leaves. Take the pole and a detonator and 

look in the telescope. Continue east and up for the volcano. Descend the 

stairs of the Machine. Climb the ladder, when you reach the top walk to the 

edge of the opening and drop the detonator through it. Travel back to the 

pirates camp beore the explosion hurts you. Go north and use the pole to 

jump over the chasm. Return to your ship. 

 

 

CHAPTER FOUR: MONOLITH BUGERS 

 

Set your curse to the Monolith Burgers. Enter the restaurant and order some 

food (just for fun) and eat it. Examine the Arcade machine. Play Astro 

chicken and your points will go up, continue until a strage message appears 

on the screen. Enter your ship again and scan the universe. The computer 

will now find a new planet called Pestulon set your couse at it and go... 

 

 

CHAPTER FIVE: PESTULON 

 

When you enter Pestulon just go out of the screen and you will find the HK 

of ScumSoft, wait untill the door opens and the guards comes out, wear your 

belt and enter the opening. Press the button and the door will open. 

Walk north and let a door to the right pass you. Enter the first door to the 

left and search the closet. You will find some coveralls which you wear. 

Walk north and enter a door to the right. Find the way through the labyrint 

so you find yourself at the top of the screen.(Note.. you must vaporize 

every basket you pass.) Go up and enter the Boss office, clean his basket 

and go up and east. You will find yourself on a balcony, go back to the 

office, this time the boss is gone. Search his desk and take the keycard. 

Walk through the labyrint until you comes to a picture of the boss. Take the 

picture and make a copy of it,(use the copier which lies near the picture). 

Take the copy and put the picture back. Go back to the corridor and walk 

until you find a door with a security lock. Insert the keycard and show the 

picture to the scanner. Enter the room. Press the buttons and walk over the 

bridge to the platform in the middle, vaporize the men. You will find that 

you are trapped and captured. When the Mech fight begins try to use this 

attack pattern. Walk left, hit, block, walk left, hit, block etc... 

If you win the enemy Mech will smash a hole in the wall and you and the guys 

from Adromeda will escape....... 

 

 

CHAPTER SIX: THE CHASE 

 

You will be followed by Pestulon's fighter ships. When they approach choose 

attack speed and turn on the weapon system. Use front shield when the ship 

attacks from the front, back when attacking from the back, back when 

negative. After a sweaty fight you will finaly blow those suckers into 

pieces. Suddely you will discover something strange..............
