THE KEYS OF MARINUS

 THE KEYS OF MARINUS.   Written by Terry Nation.   6 Episodes.                         11th April - 16th May 1964                        The Sea of Death, The Velvet Web, The Screaming Jungle, The Snows of Terror,  Sentence of Death, The Keys of Marinus.  COMPANIONS:- Ian, Barbara and Susan.    The TARDIS lands on an island on the planet Marinus where the sea is  acid and the sand is made of glass. The TARDIS is captured by Arbitan,  Keeper of the Conscience Machine of Marinus, a machine that controls the  planet, preventing crime.    Four of the five control keys for the machine are lost and Arbitan  "persuades" the TARDIS crew to hunt for them using travel dials: wrist-  watch like personal transportation systems. The travellers go to the  futuristic city of Millenius, an icy wilderness, a jungle and the night-  mare city of Metamorphon.    Upon their return the travellers find Arbitan dead, murdered by the  leader of the Voords who now control the island

Star Trek: TNG "Inheritance"

WARNING:  The following post contains large amounts of spoiler information concerning TNG's "Inheritance".  Those not wishing to inherit spoiler information without proper precautions should avoid the article at this point. In brief:  Not perfect, but quite nice indeed; one of the more solid outings of the season so far.
