Ghost Rules

:Ghost_Rules    These rules, at present, are meant to cover the contingency of an Astralist whoose body has died and who thus becomes an Astral ghost. In order for this to occur the Astralist must be either outside their body at the time of death or make a successful save vs SPIRIT. Playing a ghost will be difficult and is ONLY suggested for the most experienced players.    While in the Astral Plane they can maneuver about, cast spells that affect the material world, pass thru physical barriers (being entirely energy) and be unaffected by physical spells and effects. An astral body CAN be affected by psychic spells, those that affect the will or the emotions of the person. It can travel anywhere upon the Mystic Earth, and the mage can see astrally while in this form. To travel beyond this into other dimensions takes fairly long sojourn time and a knowledge of such dimensions.    A ghost can communicate at will to anyone within a 30' radius thru an odd...

Tarotist Tradition

:Tarotist_Tradition    The Tarotist tradition dates back hundreds of years, being as old as their primary tool, the Tarot deck. Tarotists MUST have a deck to be functional as mages, but are not token mages nor do their tools work like those of other Traditions. They are both versitile and limited as a tradition. A Taroist enpowers and utilizes tarot cards to know the future, divine events and to perform miracles.      Required Skills  :                 None      Suggested Skills :                 Concealment               Drawing & Painting               Gambling               Meditation               Psychology      Restrictions and Modifiers:               Cannot ca...

Mystic Earth TIME

:Mystic_Earth   The setting for Mystic Earth is a parallel Earth from our own where certain factors that exist in our own do not exist, allowing MAGIC to actually function regularly and more effectively than on our own.    This difference has lead to some major changes of history along the way, which the Time file is meant to deal with, as well as some changes in its resulting current time line (10 years ahead of ours)  and the people living in it.    Resemblences between people and events on Mystic Earth and our own are mearly for game purposes and should NOT be assumed to be the reality of  our own Earth. No offense is intended to personalities, living or dead, that are outlined here, nor to organizations here or on other alternative earths.   :Timeline_Differences     The history of Mystic Earth is primarily identical to that of this  earth for much of its existance, with the following exceptions:     1. Camelot, ...

Elven Shaman Tradition

:Elven_Shaman_Tradition    The Elves, being elder folk, have their own Shamanic Tradition. This is primarily taught only to High Elves and 1/2 Elves, though an occasional Dark Elf, Gypsy or human may gain the skills in life.    Elves have Totem Trees to which they are bound to protect. If they are a token mage their tokens should be crafted from the dropped (not cut!) wood of such a tree. The elves believe that the trees are representations of the influence of their gods and goddesses upon the Earth, and that thru a tree their divine influence may flow thru to their shamans and people.          Elves believe that a shaman must act to preserve the trees and the plantlife of the world in general. They oppose things that pollute in general but do not oppose true hunters and craftsmen that share their wooded lands. They do not oppose violent action if it is needed, but do not believe in senseless violence. They do not believe in the land ri...
