In sci.virtual-worlds you write:

>The archives need enriching.

>sci.virtual-worlds gets lots of requests for information pertain-
>ing to companies and their offerings.  Some of the information is
>available in the archives.  Much is not.  What we can glean from
>postings here, the trades, and the popular press is not enough for
>many participants.

>If you are a company and manufacturing software or hardware, or pro-
>viding services in the field of virtual reality or virtual interfaces,
>please send this information to me at the address below.  I will
>organize this information and use it to answer questions from indivi-
>duals regarding who provides what.  This will enable the newsgroup to
>concentrate on more general issues.  Also, I will be able to call to
>the attention of the newsgroup worthwhile technological accomplishments.
>This information WILL be made public, so don't send proprietary secrets.

So how many companies are there?

`***** 3.1.92   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  -  VR2GO  ******

ZeroStreet Production, Inc., a New Jersey based consulting
producer and Virtual Reality developer, is currently in the
process of developing a major new project in VR that will be
produced here in New York and utilized in various aspects
around the world.
We call it VR2GO.

We are interested in receiving the detailed personal resumes for
potential engagement of individuals to help develop applications
in all areas of Virtual Reality (programming, world creation,
scripts for "voomies", mathematical algorithms, animation,
producing, hardware development, marketing, etc).  Please
enclose a cover letter stating where you believe VR is headed as
industry, especially about your particular specialty or
interest, willingness to relocate, as well as salary background.

Consultants, small companies and manufacturers are also asked to
submit information about themselves, and they should include a
brief description about the nature of support equipment the
prospective applicant might have available (computers, software,
animation rendering, AB roll editing, etc) that you would use in
your support services. If your company produces related VR
products, include all appropriate descriptive data.  Please
include a copy of a typical pricing / fee structure, VAR - OEM
agreements, non-disclosure. Of particular interest is us is the
security arrangements on your premises and with your personnel,
so this should be added.

Successful candidates will be creative and have something
special to offer us as a new technologist.  A unique concept and
approach is of far greater value to us than being able to
produce 5000 lines of SNOBOL code in one night.  We are looking
for mental magicians who will be asked to work incredibly hard
producing their dreams, or worst nightmares, as the case might
be.  Individuals who want just to play in a Virtual World or
deal just with games should probably not apply - our
applications are serious, mature, industrial business solutions,
merged with a fun professional level entertainment involvement
for the targeted participants.

Please respond via mail to:

individuals and information submitted via mail.  We also will
NOT tell you casually what this project is, so if you are just
curious and cruising, forget about it.  We are the principals.

We are proactively an equal opportunity employer, and all forms
of mankind and cyber are encouraged to apply. Proof of
citizenship is required.
