Name: PMWORLD1 (OS/2 PRESENTATIONS)
Type: PROGRAM
Date: 12-JAN-1991 00:31 by WOODARDC
Size: 48128 Count: 11

PMWORLD enables up to 8 Analogue Clocks to be displayed, each showing the
current time for a selected location any where in the world. The program also
marks the position of the selected locations on a world map drawn by the
program. If required, a location can just be marked on the map without a Clock
being started.

                        22DISK Version 1.31
                          August, 1989
                                ---

22DISK is a set of programs to copy, format, display and manipulate diskettes
written  on  CP/M systems using your Tandy/IBM compatible computer.  Over 100
definitions are provided with the  unregistered version; some 200 are provided
with the registered product.

                WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 1.31?

We've made a few minor changes to 22DISK in Version 1.31.  The single biggest
change is to 22DINST.  We now allow specification of a drive's head positioning
step rate.  And you no longer need 512K to run 22DINST; 256K will work just
fine.  You also can install on a system with a single diskette drive and no hard
disk.

                        Version 1.24, November, 1988

      22NICE  is  a Z80/8080 CP/M 2.2 emulator for use on PC-compatible
computers.   The 22NICE CP/M Emulation package offers the follow-
      ing features:

Emulate 8080/8085/Z80 processors with or without NEC V-series chip installed.

Provide terminal emulation for most common CP/M machines with terminal types for
Osborne, Heath-Zenith, Morrow, Actrix, DEC, Kaypro, VT-100, VT-52, Televideo 925
and LSI ADM-3X.

Supports CP/M user number to DOS subdirectory translation

Allows use of DOS "pipes" and utilities with CP/M programs

Supports a complete set of BDOS and BIOS function instructions and interfaces,
inlcuding direct disk read/write

CP/M programs are fully integrated into the DOS environment: the user is unaware
that a programs is CP/M or DOS based

You  will  find  this  program  useful, not only in identifying an
existing fault but also as part of a periodic maintenance program.
This  program  has  been  developed  as  an exhaustive test of the
memory in a PC, XT, AT  or any  of their  clones. It  is much more
comprehensive than  the Power On Self Test and delivers diagnostic
messages which are  much  easier  to  understand.  In  addition to
system or  base memory,  RamTest will also test Expanded Memory on
all machines and Extended Memory on AT type machines.

GSETUP  Ver. 3.0, by Juan Jimenez

GSETUP is a generic SETUP program for the IBM-PC/AT Personal Computer and all
TRUE compatibles. The program is designed to allow you to set/modify CMOS ram
values to tell the system what the time, date, type and number of floppy disk
drives and hard disks, monitor type, etc., are for your personal computer.

It is similar in concept and design to the SETUP utility that comes with the
diagnostics diskette that you get when you buy an IBM-PC/AT, with the notable
difference that GSETUP can be run from DOS without having to reset your machine
first, and the user interface/menu system is much more "friendly" (I do hate
cliches, but "friendly" is all I could come up with, sorry...)

Accessing Extended Memory from Turbo C and Turbo Pascal

The file is set up to write to, check and read back from upper memory. It does
nothing more - but - it is an excellent way to learn "how to" manipulate
extended memory.

C and Pascal source code is included.

 VIM  Ver. 1.01, by DDI

VIM stands for VIrtual Machine.  The program is an interpreter whose language
is 8088 machine code extended with the real-mode instructions of an 80286,
with provisions to simulate and/or allow access to the hardware of an XT or
AT in an addressing space independent of the normal hardware.

VIM was created because a program gone wrong can, and usually will, take out
everything it can, including the interrupt vector table.  This renders even
debuggers that use NMI (Non-Maskable Interrupt) hardware useless.  The
hardware solution to this problem is either a logic analyzer or an in-circuit
emulator, both of which are very expensive and require hardware attachments to
the system under test.  VIM, on the other hand, presents a simple software
solution with most of the power of complex hardware.

The recommended configuration is an AT and 640K of RAM.

The minimum requirements for running VIM are a PC and 320K of RAM.

ROM CAPTURE UTILITIES, by Unknown

This is a set of utilities that allows the user to capture the contents of
the rom sets in either the PC or the AT.  It allows the content of the rom to be
written to a file called xtrom for the XT or atrom for the AT.  A utility called
romsplit is provided for the AT that allows the atrom file to be split into two
files that represent the even and odd bytes and which are called tempeven and
tempodd, respectively.  Note that this is not necessary for the XT.  Another
utility called lsplit is provided to allow the large files produced by romsav to
be split into files that will fit into the desired destination eproms.  For prom
burners that accept data format in the Motorola S record format, a utility
called binex is provided that converts a binary file into standard S record
format.  Original Author UNKNOWN, more routines added by Allan Teo.

Name: PRCMPIF.ARC -- WINDOWS PIF FILE
Type: PROGRAM

Size: 128

This is a PIF file for procomm that allows procomm to be used in a window.
Because this sets up procomm to write to the screen via dos, it slows output
down considerably on an AT.  It therefore should probably not be used on a
slower machine.

REMEMBER to change the execution address for procomm to suit your configuration.

If you have a DWP-410 and want to use it on a non-Tandy computer, then this
program is for you. Just type its name, NLOFF.COM, at the MS-DOS prompt, and the
DWP-410 will stop ignore the extra linefeed sent out by most non-Tandy software
(in a CR/linefeed combination). Once executed, all the linefeeds in a
CR/linefeed combination will be suppressed, regardless of which software is in
use. Written by Larry Payne.
