Ex-Mutants


Laboratory:
First, head right, go down the stairs and all the way
left.  Work your way to the bottom.  Then go up the
stairs to the upper right.  You can break through certain
walls by continuously hitting them!

Cave:
Area 1:
Go right, drop down.  Climb up the stairs on your left. 
Walk up to the wall on the right and blow it up with a
bomb.  Continue right past the demolished wall to find an
Life Extender.  Head left and make your way down to the
bottom.  Then go right past the spinning saw blade and
jump onto the moving platform.  Take the platform up and
then head right.  Go past the moving saw blade and climb
up the stairs.  Go to the far right and take the stairs
going down.  Go all the way to the bottom to find the
Battery Cell, then climb all the way up and head right to
exit this first area.

Area 2:
Head down and right past the spinning saw blade.  Blow up
the wall at the far right just past the spinning saw
blade.  Continue right and up the long stairs.  Once at
the top, go right, drop down and continue right over the
platforms (over the spikes).  Jump from platform to
platform all the way up past the spinning sawblade.  Once
at the top, go right, drop down to where there is a
swinging saw blade.  Then, jump left past the swinging
saw blade to find the Battery Cell.  Head right and down,
then right to find the Exit.

Boss:  Beefcake
Wait for him to appear.  When he appears, walk over and
hit him several times.  Then, run to the furthest corner
to avoid his attack.  Repeat until you defeat him.

Minecar:
Use your secondary weapon to defeat the enemies and the
spiked barriers.  Avoid the saw blades by jumping over
them.

Forest:
Area 1:
Go right, climb up the stairs.  Climb up the next set of
stairs.  Take the moving platform on the right.  Go left
to the next moving  platform.  Ride the platform to the
upper right, then jump on the moving platform and ride it
to the upper left.  Go left and up the stairs.  Head
right to the stairs.  Go down the stairs, then right to
the wooden bridge with the big  guy standing on the
platform.

Mid-Boss:
Stand next to him on the left.  Jump straight up and hit
him.  Once you hit him, run to the far left to avoid the
fire that he throws.

After you beat the mid-boss, go right and down the
stairs.  Go down the next set of stairs on the right. 
Once down on the next ledge, walk left to the edge of the
ledge and jump toward the left to land on a platform that
has the Battery Cell on it.  Jump back to the right.  Go
down and right, take the stairs on the far right to climb
up to the exit.

Area 2:
Go right and climb down to the bottom of the level. 
Continue all the way to the right.  When you reach the
waterfall, you will face the Mid-Boss.

Mid-Boss:
First, duck down so that the Bat can't hit you when it
flies down at you.  Then, jump and hit it.  As you are
coming down from your jump, land between the four flames
the Bat has dropped.  Repeat this pattern.

After defeating the Bat, go right to the log structure. 
Drop down and go right to the swinging boulder.  Climb up
and to the right.  The first item box you see will
contain the Battery Cell.  Climb down and head right. 
Continue right to the waterfall to find the Boss.

Boss:  El Motho
Stand at the far left.  Wait for him to fly directly
above you and hit him.  When he drops a bomb, jump
straight up to avoid the fire.  If you do this pattern
just right, he won't be able to hit you.

Rapids:
Don't waist your secondary weapon, save them for the
enemies.  Concentrate on the enemies that stretch their
arms out (don't let them knock you off the logs).

Sewer:
Area 1:
Go right, drop down.  Head all the way right to the
stairs.  Take all the ladders that go up.  Once at the
top, head to the far left to another ladder.  Continue 
up and right along the moving    blocks.  keep going to
the far right.  Drop all the way down, then go all the
left and go up at the moving blocks.  Continue left, then
down.  Once at the bottom, go right to exit the first
area.

Area 2:
Head right, staying on the moving platforms.  Keep going
right past the spinning slime.  Watch out for the jumping
fish and the falling boulders.  Time your jumps
carefully.  At the far right you will face the Boss.

Boss:
Aim for his forehead.  Hit him a couple of times, then
run away from him to avoid his charge attack.  When he
attacks by raising his head and showering you with fire,
stand underneath the platform and you will avoid being
hit.

Subway:
Go right, jumping over the boulders.  Watch out for the
holes in the floor of the train.  Try not to get caught
between enemies.  Beware of the bats, they're hard to
see.  Continue right to the exit.

Skyscraper:
Head left and jump into the elevator shaft.  Hang on the
rope and climb all the way to the top.  Once at the top,
head right.  Climb up the ladder, then go left.  At the
far left, jump into the elevator shaft and climb up the
rope.  At the top, go to the far right to another ladder. 
Go up and left.  The  Battery Cell is located at the far
left on the second floor.  The exit is at the upper left.

Sluggo:
Stay at the far left.  Run up and hit Sluggo at the base
of his tail.  Hit him twice, then run back before he hits
you with his tail.  You can also hit Zygote to take
damage from Sluggo!  Avoid the bombs and the rocks by
standing between them as they are falling.
