Golden Axe II walkthrough

GOLDEN AXE II

Level Select:

General Tips:
If there are guys at opposite ends of the screen,
continuously use the flying attack on them.

If an enemy is down, try to attack it as soon as it gets
up.

Throw one guy on top of another to take life away from
both the enemies!

If you are on a ledge, below an enemy, stay against the
ledge and keep swinging.

The special attacks are hard to do, but good to get out
of tough situations.  They are best used when surrounded
by enemies.  Practice this technique in the early rounds,
as it will help you greatly in the later rounds.

Level 1:
When green Wizards lift their staffs, move out of the way
because they are going to shoot!

Boss:
Take care of the little guys by doing the jump attack.
Move back and forth using the same jump attack on the
main enemy.  Don't get to close to it, or it will pick
you up and throw you.

Level 2:
The beginning of this level is a good place to build up
magic.  Save the magic for the boss!

Boss:
Use regular attacks to get close, then pick it up and
throw it.  Continue this until defeated.

Level 3:
Go through this round, making the enemy walk off the
ledges!

Mid-Boss:
Throw them off the ledge at the bottom of the screen!

Boss:
Use a combination of running and jumping attacks.  Try
not to get surrounded.

Level 4:
Be careful of the grey Skeletons on the ground.  Some of
them come to life.

Boss:
Use the same technique as you used on the first boss.

Level 5:

Mid Boss:
Use the same techniques as you did on the fourth boss.

Boss:
Attack tehm until they are down, then try to throw one
onto the other.  If you are between them, use your
special attack to avoid certain damage.

Level 6:
You will fight some of the boss characters again.  Use
the same techniques to beat them the second time as you
did the first.

Boss:
Continuously use the charging attack until he is
defeated.

Level 7:

Last Boss:
Corner him and use jumping attacks.  When he raises his
hand, he is most vulnerable.  Don't let him throw the
powerballs, because they turn into Skeletons.  If you are
playing with two players, one of you might want to
concentrate on the Skeletons, and one on the boss.
