Poppy seed cake recipe

                          poppy seed cake



2-1/4 c. flour

1-1/2 c. sugar

3/4 c. butter

1/4 c. poppy seeds


Frosting:


12 OZ. CREAM CHEESE

1/2 c. unsalted butter


2-1/2 t. baking powder

3 eggs

lemon and vanilla extracts

1 t. salt




3-1/2 c. powdered sugar

lemon extractCream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and beat well.  Add

remaining ingredients.  Bake in 2 9-inch round pans at 375

degrees for 25 minutes.  Beat frosting, and frost when cool.
