GHOSTBUSTERS
UNLIMITED MONEY:
When you find a chest close to the entrance of a maze
that contains money, get it, and leave the building.
When you return, the chest will have money in it again.
Repeat this procedure as necessary.
When first playing, it is advantageous to start on the
easy level. The difficulty is still there, but you will
start the game out with $5,000. On the normal and the
hard modes you will start with no money.
At the beginning of the game try using either Raymond or
Peter. Raymond has the best protection, but is a bit
slower than Peter.
If you are playing in the easy mode, go to the item shop
and purchase a Peking Duck and load up on bombs. Now you
are ready for action.
FIGHTING THE GREEN GHOSTS:
Position yourself on the opposite side of the room after
you have destroyed a minor boss. The ghost that appears
will come towards you. Wait for the ghost to get a short
distance away from the trap in the middle of the room.
Then, activate your beam and pull him in over the trap.
If you are not successful and he starts to pull you
towards the wall, give him a little room (just like if
you were fishing) and move back towards the trap. When
you get close to the trap pull him in. Repeat this until
he gets tired or gets away from you.
NOTE: Use this pattern for all green ghosts!
CASE ONE: HOME SWEET HOME
SILK HATTON:
Shoot him until the creature pops out of the hat. When
the creature appears, shoot at the head until the
Magician disappears and the creature's head and body
become separated. Shoot continuously at the head and the
body until destroyed.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
SCALON:
Duck down and continuously shoot at the body, while
staying close to him. Then, move back and forth to avoid
the "Scales" that fly off of his body. As you damage
him, he will change color. He will change to Blue and
then to Tan. After he is destroyed his head will float
up and his eyes will fall out. When they hit the ground,
jump over them and wait for them to explode.
CASE TWO: THE APARTMENT
CRYSTAROBO:
Shoot at his face while avoiding the ice formations he
creates. To avoid his swinging attack, duck down and
move in the opposite direction that he is swinging (for
example, if he is swinging to the left, move to the
right, stand up and be ready when he turns around). To
avoid his jumping attack, run under him, turn around and
start shooting at his head. He will change to Red then
to Yellow.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
SIREN:
NOTE: Before you fight her, have a full life meter, and
a Peking Duck.
Shoot at her head while avoiding the shots coming from
her body. Wait for her to stop and change into three
figures (this is the only time you can damage her).
Shoot at the faces (you will know you are causing damage
when she flashes). The weak spot changes each time she
forms, so if the head you are shooting at does not flash,
try another one. She will change to Yellow then to Red.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
SNOWMAN:
Shoot at his head while avoiding the little snowmen
coming from his body (Bombs work well on these guys). He
will change to Yellow then to Orange.
CASE THREE: THE WOODY HOUSE
You should have enough money at this point to purchase
some weapons. Pick up the energy pack and the THREE WAY
shot (this weapon works well on all of the bosses). As
your money grows, continue picking up energy packs until
you have a full energy bar.
FIRE DRAGON:
Shoot at his head while avoiding his fire breath. Stay
in the middle of the room, which will give you the most
room to escape and make the dragon easily accessible. He
will change to Purple then to Blue.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
FIREWALLS #1:
These walls are very tricky. To get past them, watch the
pattern of rising and falling. Jump the instant before
the wall comes down. There are three of these walls to
get over.
FIREWALLS #2:
Stand a short distance from the walls. Three orange
"Fire Creatures" will jump out from each wall. After the
Fire Creatures are destroyed, the wall will come down.
There are three of these walls followed by another wall
that rises and falls.
FIRE GIANT:
Shoot at his head while avoiding the flames he throws.
He will change to Purple then to Blue.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
WALL MAN:
Shoot at the mouth while avoiding the Yellow creatures
and the Blue objects that it spits at you. Take full
advantage of both sides of the room. It will change to
Pink then to Green then to Grey.
CASE FOUR: HIGH RISE BUILDING
100-EYED CENTIPEDE:
The Three way shot is almost essential against this one.
Shoot at the head while keeping your distance. Try not
to get boxed in.
NOTE: If you only have the normal shot, try shooting the
head portion of the creature only. Shooting other parts
of the body will make it separate, thus making it more
difficult to destroy.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
SHELL BEAST:
Stand in the middle of the room and wait for it to open.
Move to either side and fire at the eye and the opening
in the creature's shell. When he closes up and rolls at
you, duck down and move opposite of him. He will change
to Orange then to Green.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
MARSHMALLOW MAN:
Stand in the center of the screen and continuously shoot
at his face, while avoiding both the lasers and the
fireballs. If his eyes turn Blue, he will shoot the
lasers, if his eyes turn red, he will spit out the fire
balls.
CASE FIVE: THE CASTLE
REAPER:
Shoot at the face while avoiding the Scythe and his "Fire
Magic". To avoid the Scythe, jump as he dives at you.
Most of the time he will miss you. To avoid the "Fire
Magic", wait for the first two to go off the screen, then
jump in the middle of the ring and shoot at the Reaper.
He will change to Grey then to Purple.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
MARIONETTES:
These guys are really tough. To defeat them, stay behind
your possessed friends and shoot at the ghost following
him. The ghost will flash red when it is hit. After the
ghost is hit, jump over them and attack from the other
side. Watch out, because you friend has the exact same
weapon as you and will use it against you. Try not to
shoot your friend, because that will make it more
difficult to shoot the ghost.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
BROCCOLI WORM:
This guy is a lot like the "100-Eyed Centipede". Duck
down and use the three way shot on the head of the
creature. When it breaks apart, continue shooting and
move to the opposite side of the room.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
INSECT TRAPPER:
Duck down and use the Three-Way shot close to his mouth.
Move back and forth while firing to avoid or destroy the
"Outgrowths". Use the Three-Way shot until your energy
runs out, by this time the creature should be a Brownish-
Red. Stand up and shoot at the head of the creature
while avoiding the laser beam and the "Outgrowths".
CASE SIX: DEEP HOLE
Go down and jump on to the moving platform. Move right
to the next platform, take it down and drop to the next
platform. Move left to the platform and at the bottom
move left. Here you will fight SCALON.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
Go back to the exit and replenish your life.
Go down and to the right and jump over the first hole,
continue right and drop down at the end. Take the
platform down, go right and jump over the hole. Continue
right and drop down at the end. Move right and you will
fight the SNOWMAN.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
Return to the exit to replenish you life and energy.
Go down and to the right. Jump over the hole and
continue right, at the end jump to the right and you will
land on a rock formation. Jump from the formation to the
ledge on the right, continue right and drop down at the
end. Jump over the hole and move to the right. Drop
down at the end and go all the way to the bottom. Go to
the right and jump up on all of the ledges. At the top,
move left to the moving platform, jump on to the rock
formation and continue to the left. Jump on to the
moving platform. Move left and jump on the second moving
platform. At the top, move to the right and you will
fight INSECT TRAPPER.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
Exit and go left, take the floating platform at the end,
all the way to the top. Go left to the moving platform
and drop down to the bottom. Go to the right, drop down
the moving ledges at the end. At the bottom go left and
you will fight WALL MAN.
A GREEN GHOST will appear.
Return to the exit and replenish your life and energy.
If you do not have one, buy a PEKING DUCK.
Go back to where the INSECT TRAPPER was. Go left to the
floating platform. At the top, go to the right and this
is where you will fight your final enemy.
JANNA:
Use the Three-Way shot. DO NOT START FIRING UNTIL SHE
STOPS FLASHING. Aim the center beam of Three-way shot
just below the heart. When she throws the heart at you
back up and then run under her and start shooting at the
face area. When she throws her dagger at you, duck down
and stay down until it returns to her. Repeat this
process until the headpiece starts floating and one arm
falls off.
JANNA: PART II
Shoot the skull at the top of the headpiece. Again,
avoid the dagger that she will throw at you. Once she is
destroyed you will receive the Storms' Calm.
