The definitive UK sitcom list

                       The definitive UK sitcom list
                       =============================
This is supposed to be a complete list of all situation comedies that have
ever been broadcast on UK TV.
Satellite and cable channels are not included.
I don't care if they're actually funny or not.
I don't care where they were made.
Not included are sketch shows (Monty Python etc), stand-up comedy (Whose
Line Is It Anyway etc), comedy dramas (Auf Wiedersehen Pet etc), cartoons.
The line between a sitcom and a comedy drama can be rather indistinct, my
definition of a sitcom is:
  the comedy must predominate over any dramatic elements;
  the half-hour format is not the only one allowed;
  the plot should complete within one episode, though background themes may
  continue across episodes (as part of the situation);
  the situation may be defined by people or activity rather than location.
Please email me any omissions or errors.
I am: D.Budd@uk.ac.mcc  from within the UK,
  or: D.Budd@mcc.ac.uk  from the rest of the world.
The following are some where we can't even remember the name - can YOU help?
