AIR DIVER
Secret Modes:
To begin the code, on the map screen, go to the place
where there is no continent. Then, press and hold the
START BUTTON, while pressing A, B, C, B, A, A, B, C, B,
A, B. Then, do one of the following:
Invincibility:
Press and hold the START BUTTON, and move to an area to
begin.
Fight the Fighting Ace of each area:
Press and hold BUTTON A, then move to the area.
Fight the Mother Ship of each area:
Press and hold BUTTON B, then move to the area.
Fight the Last Boss of each area:
Press and hold BUTTON C, then move to the area.
Defensive tactics for enemy planes:
Practice doing loops and Barrel Rolls. They will be
needed to avoid the enemy fire!
Watch your radar. If planes are coming up behind you, do
a loop, and this will get them in front of you.
In the middle of each round, you will enter into a dog
fight with a very powerful enemy plane. This is called
the "Dog Fight" area.
Tips for beating the Dog Fights:
When the plane is on your right or left, hold the
Directional Pad in the direction of the plane, so it will
not come up behind you.
If the plane should happen to get behind you, and your
radar screen reads "Locked On", do a Barrel Roll, and
then a loop (constantly shoot during the loop, you might
get a couple of extra hits in on the enemy). This will
move him in front of you.
Wait for the plane to come to you. Don't over-exert
yourself, trying to get to it.
Shoot at it with your guns, until it is on fire, and
smoke is coming out of the back. Then, finish it off
with a couple of missiles.
Defeating the Main Bosses:
Note: All the bosses flash when you hit them.
Australia; Black Widow:
Hit the middle of the ship until it explodes. Then, work
on the long arms on the left and right.
North Pacific Ocean; Doomsday:
Hit the center of the ship until it explodes. Then, work
on the top of the ship. Once the top has blown up, move
to the bottom part and repeat the previous procedure.
South America; Metallica:
Hit the center of the ship until it explodes. Then, hit
the upper left and right sides of the ship. Once the top
has blown up, move to the bottom and repeat the previous
procedure.
Africa; The Fortress:
Hit the lower middle of the ship until it explodes. When
the force field goes up between the main tower and the
two towers surrounding it, move to the upper-right or
left corner, to avoid the fire (fires when the force
field goes down). Then, shoot the two outside towers
until they explode.
Last Boss:
The Stealth Fighter is almost invisible to radar, so when
you do see him on the radar, remember which way he was
going. By doing this, you can judge when you are going
to need to shoot.
Once you have him on the radar, don't let him out of your
sight. Use only enough energy to keep up with him (don't
waste energy).
Use the same Dog-Fighting techniques explained above.
