This is a compilation of all the creative and amusing little quotes

found in various pinball flyers released by the manufacturers over

the years.  Pinball flyers are intended to promote the sales of the

latest pinball game.  Manufacturers release a new one with every

game.  These flyers point out key features of the game and typically

promise high earnings/profit ratios.  Many such flyers also include

various quotes or slogans pretty much unique to the game.  This file

is intended to highlight these pretty little slogans.

This is Revision 1.3, more or less an arbitrary figure.  I'm going

to start keeping a revision history as at present, I don't have

a change-list from the last time this was posted (quite a while

ago).  My present strategy is to do full postings in January and

July, and just the new stuff in April and October.  I'm posting

this as a "full", both because I don't know which is "new" and also

because it's been so long since it's been posted.

This compilation is a far-from-exhaustive list of the many varied

quotes/slogans/blurbs/selling points from each of the pinball flyers

I had in my collection.  As most of you on the net pre-date my

entrance into the world of pinball by many years (decades?), I am

depending on you for contributions!  I have a fairly impressive

personal collection of flyers, but it is really far from "complete".

None of the flyers I have date much farther back than 1986 so there

is a wealth of information out there that I have no access to.  For

some quick examples of what I'm looking for, I basically took anything

that seemed like a play-on-words based on the game--ie:  Diner's

"Serving up the finest earnings!" or Riverboat Gambler's "A Sure Bet

Winner!"  A number of them had fairly boring quotes or none at all.  I

usually tried to find something to at least show it was represented

here.  A number of them are REALLY amusing, like those that place

profit-making and Bugs Bunny in the same sentence.  :-)

The only rules for submission is please do not send me anything

released in 1994 or later.  I will add in stuff from the new flyers

as soon as I get them, even if they take a little longer to get all

the way out to California.  If you wish to submit anything, please

The legal stuff:  For all intents and purposes, this should be considered

a "review" of the flyers listed below.  As I only took minor quotations

from each flyer, I would consider this more along the lines of "Quoting

a source" rather than "Copyright Infringement".  Regardless of anything

else, at the very least, the names of all the games listed below are

undoubtedly trademarks of their respective manufacturers.
