THE TIME MEDDLER


 THE TIME MEDDLER.   Written by Dennis Spooner.   4 episodes.

 The Watcher, The Meddling Monk, A Battle of Wits, Checkmate.

 COMPANIONS:- Vicki and Steven.

   The TARDIS lands on the English coast in 1066. Steven finds a modern
 wristwatch and the Doctor discovers that the monastery bells are just a
 grammophone record.
   Another member of the Doctor's race (the Meddling Monk) has arrived to
 ensure Harold's victory by using an atomic bazooka on William's fleet. It
 takes all of the Doctor's cunning to defeat the Monk and he takes the
 dimension controller from his TARDIS, trapping him in 1066.
   This is the first story to introduce another member of the Doctor's
 race although they are not referred to as Time Lords.
