Miscellaneous Hints:
Don't use the Arcade Power Stick with this game. It will
actually slow down the amount of firing you do.
Arcade Mode:
Level 1:
Start off by going to the upper right, and through the
trees. Continue all the way north to the bridge. On the
other side of the bridge, you will face the Helicopter
Boss.
Boss:
To defeat the Helicopter, stand directly beneath it,
shooting up at it. It will hit you once or twice, but
you will defeat it quickly.
Level 2:
Go North.
Tanks: Stand in front of them, just to the left of the
gun turrets, shooting up. If you find the right place,
the bullets won't hit you.
Continue all the way north across the bridge to find the
Tank Boss.
Boss:
To defeat the tank, stand underneath the tank, shooting
up. When it releases missiles, drop a bomb. When it
charges you, use a bomb, and move out of the way (when
it's flashing, you can walk right through it)!
Level 3:
Go up and take out the tanks, then left over the bridge.
Then, continue north to the platform that says "enter".
Get on it, and ride it up and head north. The screen
will stop and you will be faced with a large gun turret.
Mid-Boss:
To defeat the Gun Turret, stand directly underneath it,
while shooting up at it. You will get hit a few times,
but if you use a bomb, you shouldn't get hurt too much.
Once it is defeated, continue north, until you see a huge
tank. Use a bomb (to make you invincible) and take out
the enemy gunners on the right. Proceed north, and you
will eventually find the Second Helicopter Boss.
Boss:
To defeat the second Helicopter boss, start off by
standing underneath the rocket launcher, shooting up
towards it. If you stand there, the gun can't hit you.
When the helicopter falls down, stand to the right of it
and shoot at it. DON'T TOUCH IT! Use bombs as
necessary.
Level 4:
Proceed all the way north to a lake. Shoot the orange
hovercraft and get in it. Continue north and take out
the bridge with the hovercrafts missiles. Once at the
top, get off onto the land, and head right to pick up
some power ups. Once you have them, go left and get on
the platform that says enter. At the top, head right to
face the boss.
Boss:
Stand directly under the boss and shoot up at it. Be
careful not to stand underneath the main gun, as it will
kill you quickly.
Level 5:
Go north and get into tank (you don't have to if you
don't want to). Continue north, to a blue platform to
face the boss.
Boss:
Start off by shooting at an angle at it, taking out the
gun turrets. Before they get a chance to shoot. Once
all the turrets are defeated, shoot diagonally at the
orange part of the engine. Eventually, it will be
defeated.
Level 6:
Continue all the way north to a platform. The green
weapon is helpful in this round. Get on the platform and
shoot the guns on the walls, and the large elevators that
come at you. Once you are off the platform, go right,
taking out the chambers that the guys are coming out of
the walls. Then, go right to an area with lasers coming
out of the walls. Walk north, until you see a laser
(don't walk into it), and wait for it to turn on. After
it turns on, it will turn off, and you can go through it.
Continue this all the way to the top. Continue north all
the way a wall. Destroy the wall, then go north. When
you see yellow planes, take them out so they can't shoot
at you. Search this area carefully to find power-ups and
items. Continue all the way north to reach the final
boss.
Final Boss:
Use your bombs freely on this guy. After you are done
with your bombs, move left and right, while shooting up
at it.
Original Mode:
Miscellaneous Hints:
In the original mode, you pick up guys that will help you
along the way. These guys are located in the huts that
say "enter". Also, in these huts, you can purchase
weapon/armor power ups, and life extenders. Be sure to
pick up all the medals that you find in order to be able
to buy these items.
If you have two guys, one more powered up than the other,
work on powering up the less powerful guy. It might,
however be a good idea to build one guy up to be strong,
then work on the rest of the guys.
Level 1:
Start off by going to the upper right, above the shore to
find items. Continue through the round to find the other
items and the boss.
Boss:
To defeat the boss, stand right at the upper edge,
continuously firing until it is defeated.
Level 2:
Shoot the fences. Some of them can be destroyed for
hidden powerups!
Boss:
Stand in front of the turrets and keep firing. Watch out
for stray bullets.
Level 3:
Make a right after the first bridge to find a Bulletproof
Vest.
You can walk in the black area right below the bridge!
Boss:
To defeat the tank boss, stand in front of it, shooting
up. When it comes at you, bomb it, then move away from
it. You can walk through it when it's flashing, so take
advantage of that!
Level 4:
You can drive the orange speed boat. Get in, and keep
moving to the other side of the water.
Boss:
To defeat the hovercraft boss, stand in the bottom right
corner shooting up. When it charges towards you, use
your bombs.
Level 5:
Get in the Jeep and use it to blow up the palm trees
(almost all of them can be blown up!). This is much
easier than just shooting them!
Boss:
Stay towards the bottom, avoiding the missiles. When
they drive around, try and go between the Jeeps.
Continuously shoot the Jeeps.
Level 6:
Avoid the missiles that shoot gas at you. Don't walk
into the gas fields either, or you will get seriously
hurt!
Boss:
Shoot all the turrets from the sides and the bottom, then
concentrate on the center guns that shoot the gas.
Level 7:
Take the first left, and you can find a Gas Mask located
there.
Boss:
Shoot out the turrets. When the guns fire missiles, move
to the left or the right, and the missiles should miss
you.
Level 8:
Shoot the airplanes gun turrets to blow them up so they
can't shoot at you.
Boss:
Avoid the missiles by running back and forth across the
bottom of the screen. If you can, pick up and use the
missile weapon on this final boss.
