CHEESECAKE SQUARES

                        CHEESECAKE SQUARES



1 c. graham cracker crumbs

1 c. sugar, divided

3 T. melted butter

16 oz. smooth cottage cheese

8 oz. cream cheese

3 eggs

1-1/4 c. sour cream or sour 1/2 and 1/2

1 t. vanilla


          Mix together crumbs with 2 T. sugar and butter.  Press

into 9-inch pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.  Reduce to

300 degrees and remove.  Blend cottage cheese in blender.  Mix

cheese, cream cheese, and 3/4 c. sugar with mixer.  Add eggs one

at a time.  Pour over crust and bake 45 minutes.  Mix sour cream

with remaining 2 T. sugar and vanilla.  Spread over cheesecake

and bake 10 more minutes.  Cool completely.  Bakes 12 servings.
