The Dominators

   The Doctor returns to the planet Dulkis to visit the Dulcians, a pacifist
 race. There he encounters the Dominators and their servant robots, the
 Quarks. The Dominators are a violent race who are planning to invade the
 galaxy and have sent two of their number to Dulkis to collect fuel. They
 land on an island which had been used as a nuclear test range during the
 Dulcians' warring period.
   The island has been cleansed of its radiation by the Dominators who use
 it for fuel. They drill a bore hole using Dulcian slaves, planning to
 drop a nuclear seed device into the core of the planet, turning it into a
 radioactive cinder and providing a refuelling point for their fleet.
   The Doctor manages to divert the seed when it is dropped and places it
 aboard the Dominators' ship just prior to take off. The ship is destroyed
 and the threat averted. Then a lava flow begins to descend....
   This story was written by Mervyn Haisman and Henry Lincoln under the pen-
 name of Norman Ashby and is available from BBC Video.
