NEWS OF THE WIRED

-. . .-- ...  --- ..-.  - .... .  .-- .. .-. . -..

F/X: The Early Years in Kino This Week

+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+

Most amateur videographers aim the camera outward. But Jacob Stewart

turns the lens around, and gives us a peak into his own body. Other

Kino features include a CamNet visit with lounge singing priest Joey

Cheesy and Jeremy Sutton's world of animated dancers.

Next Week on HotWired

+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+

Look for these new columns and features arriving next week on HotWired:

o A New Intelligent Agent essay on the digital future of diplomacy;

o New works featured in Soundz, including the Sun City Girls;

o The latest Serial installments from Jim Woodring and Paul Auster;

o A guide to Amsterdam spas in Planet Wired.

Joshua Quittner To Visit Club Wired

+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+

Here's a preview of next week's Club Wired event:

mcdonalds.com - Billions Served, or Just a Lot of Email?

WIRED/HotWired contributing writer Joshua Quittner told the tale of

registering the Internet domain name mcdonalds.com in his WIRED 2.10

article "Billions Served" (http://www.hotwired.com/Lib/Wired/2.10/)

Now, Quittner visits Club Wired to discuss his experiences since the

story ran, his Hacker Showdown article in WIRED 2.12, and more.

Editorial Assistant Position Open at HotWired

+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+

HotWired has an opening for an Eye Witness editorial assistant. We

want someone with a talent for line editing who can manage a series

of ongoing projects under the pressure of weekly deadlines. You will

work independently under the direction of the Eye Witness section

editor to select, edit, and format content; manage projects; and

maintain contact with our contributors. Editing, writing, and Net

experience are essential; Mac experience and an interest in electronic

publishing preferred; and experience with FileMaker Pro or Excel

would be helpful. If you don't know HTML now, you will.

If you have the appropriate skills and you applied for a previously

advertised position with HotWired, we consider you a potential

candidate - so there's no need to re-apply. If you haven't yet

applied, we welcome your interest in HotWired. Send your resume before

Wednesday, November 30 to:

     hotjobs@hotwired.com

Thanks for reading, and stay Wired!
