SECTION A. - INTRODUCTION

The ACCU*LINK World Wide Network Allows you to make Long Distance Modem
to Modem Calls for a rate that is far less expensive then the usual long
distance telephone call. This is accomplished by utilizing the BT/TYMNET
Worldwide Public Data Network. Tymnet maintains over 1000 access ports
throughout the United States, these access ports can be easy reached for
the cost of a local call from most cities, once connected to TYMNET you will
then have the ability to DIAL OUT via one of Tymnets 220 Outdial Ports which
serve most major cities.

SECTION B. - RATES

ALL RATES QUOTED ARE FOR NON-PRIME TIME, 7 pm to 6 am your local time.

How inexpensive is inexpensive?? Well as you are probably aware there are
other services offering what ACCU*LINK offers, at higher rates,
most other services charge $4 to $6 and hour for connect time, others charge
$1.50 an hour but also charge you KCharacter Charges (i.e. A 500K download
would cost over $6.50)

       **************************************************************
*ACCU*LINK Offers $3.00 per hour with NO KCharacter Charges! *
       **************************************************************

There is a monthly Account Maintenance fee of $10 per month plus a
ONE TIME Membership fee of $20 (That's $15 to $25 less than other services.)

There are no extra charges for Printed Bills like other services charge.

The only EXTRA charges you can incur are listed as follows and as you will
read, YOU are in control of whether or not you receive these charges...

Dishonored Credit Card Charge - $20.00
REPRINT (additional) of Printed Bill - $5.00
Calls made OUTSIDE of outdial ports local area - Applicable Telco Charges
Call Made During Prime Time - $10.00 per hour

>>RATES FOR ACCESS TO AND FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST<<

SECTION C. - BECOMING A MEMBER OF ACCU*LINK

Signing Up is very easy and can be handled several ways.

Logon Option #1 - VIA TYMNET -You call your local TYMNET access port with your
communications software set at Even Parity, 7 Data Bits, and 1 Stop Bit, also
known as E7&1. If you do not know the local number for the TYMNET port nearest
you, you may call TYMNET at 1-800-336-0149 or call ACCU*LINK at 1-800-945-7272
and we will give you your local number.
Once connected type an "a" with NO CARRIAGE RETURN, you should then receive
a "PLEASE LOG IN" prompt at this prompt type "ACCU*LINK" and hit ENTER,
then you will recieve a PCM: prompt, type in "#INFO" (no quotes) and hit
ENTER.  The rest will be self explanatory, the ACCU*LINK INFORMATION
SYSTEM will prompt for your name, system type etc., you will then be able
to signup online using Visa or Mastercard, this is a free call and there
are no connect charges, however you will be limited to 30 minutes online
to gather information and sign up.

Logon Option #2 -  DIAL DIRECT - With your communication Software set at
N8&1 call 609-654-0999 and sign on as you would any online service.
This call is not free and long distance charges accrue.

Logon Option #3 - (FASTEST) CALL VOICE - Call ACCU*LINK Directly at
800-945-7272 and a signup package will be mailed to you via US Mail.

INTERNATIONAL USERS MUST CONTACT ACCU*LINK BY VOICE TO REGISTER

No matter what you choose you will have to sign a membership agreement which
must be returned to ACCU*LINK in order for a USERNAME and Password to be
issued.

SECTION D - HOW TO USE ACCU*LINK

First a member must determine from the list of access points (available on
the ACCU*LINK registration system or by calling TYMNET) the local port
in his/her area, once that number is found, the member, using a communication
package set at Even Parity, 7 Databits and 1 Stopbit (E7&1) dials the local
access number and is connected to the network. At first you may see a stream
of garbage or the prompt "Enter your terminal identifier" in either case type
an "a" with no carriage return at which time you should see "Please Log in:"
the member then enters his/her ACCU*LINK Username and password separated by
a semi-colon. Example: BOB12345678;password. You will then be presented with
the ACCU*LINK Main Menu which will give you the ability to access some of
the largest BBSes in the country or you may reach a BBS of your choice by
choosing Manual Login.

Selecting Manual Login will prompt you to re-enter your logon again, for
example if you wanted to connect to the outdial port in New York City
you would enter the following: USERNAME:1059;PASSWORD The following
information would then be displayed:

TYMNET ASYNC OUTDIAL 1059 (212) 877 NEW YORK, NY
>

At the ">"  prompt you may type help and receive the following:

Set [Half] [Rxon] [Xon] [Even|Space] [Crdelay]
Half    - sets half-duplex communications.  Default is full-duplex.
Xon     - sets flow control for data you send.  Default is no xon.
Rxon    - sets flow control for data you receive.  Default is no rxon.
Even    - sets even parity for data sent.  Default is no parity.
Space   - sets space parity for data sent.  Default is no parity.
Crdelay - set printer carriage return delay.  Default is no delay.
Bps [300|1200|2400]
Sets one of the baud rates indicated above.  Default is 2400 bps.
Dial [Tone] [Pulse] {phone number}
Dials the requested phone number.  Parameters are:
Tone  - activates touch-tone dialing.  Default is tone.
         Pulse - activates pulse dialing.
Optional commas - provide a one second pause.  Default is no pause.
Retry   -  Redials last phone number.
Logout  -  Exits Outdial.
Help or ?  -  Prints this screen.

NOTES: * Dialed number need not be preceded by "9".
       * In some locations, long-distance numbers must be preceded by "1".

You can now dial out to the BBS or System of your choice, lets say for
example that the BBS' phone number is 555-1234, you would type:
"d 555-1234" at the ">" prompt. This would cause the outdial port to
dial the number and connect at 2400 baud.

If the system you are calling is busy then you will receive a "BUSY",
you can then type "r" to redial or you can type "logout" to terminate
the session.

If the BBS you are dialing is OUTSIDE of the local calling area of that
outdial you may put a "1" in front of the number HOWEVER remember this
is a toll call and all charges will be billed to YOU!
****************************************************************************

**************
* IMPORTANT  *
**************

We have found through research that when calling your local TYMNET
port you should be set at Even Parity, 7 Data Bits and 1 Stop Bit (E7&1).
After logging in, you enter the dialing string, as soon as you see
the response of "Dialing......" switch your terminal or communications
software to No Parity, 8 Data Bits and 1 Stop bit (N8&1). This will
insure proper functionality when trying to do FILE TRANSFERS, if your
access will be ONLY interactive, then this procedure is not necessary,
remember this will insure successful file transfers (Downloading).

****************************************************************************

SECTION E - PROBLEMS & ERROR MESSAGES

You may receive some of the following errors:

BUSY  - This means the BBS' lines are all busy.

CALL FAILED FOR UNKNOWN REASON - This could mean a voice answered the line,
call voice to insure you are calling a data number.
could also be caused by the BBS answering at a speed lower than you are
set at, try changing baud rate at the ">" prompt.

HOST OUT OF PORTS - This means all available outdial modems in that outdial
city are busy.

MODEM TIMED OUT ITSELF - CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Modem Malfunction call Tymnet at 800-336-0149

SECTION F - IMPROVING FILE TRANSFERS

Enter a control-V before typing in your ACCU*LINK username.  Example:
"^VBOB12345678;password".  This means hold down your control key and tap the
"V" key before entering your Username.  This opens up the band width and
improves transfer time.

SECTION G - IMPROVING INTERACTIVE RESPONSE

Enter a control-I before your ACCU*LINK username.  Example:
"^IBOB12345678;password".  Enter this the same way as the example above and
the response time through the network will be faster.  Perfect for chatting
or e-mail, etc.

SECTION H - DOING FILE TRANSFERS

Most BBS' and online systems require you to do file transfers at 8 data bits,
No Parity and 1 Stop Bit, so if you find you are having problems switch your
communications software to N8&1 and this should solve the problem.
In some cities you may find that you have to logon to ACCU*LINK at
E7&1 then switch to N8&1 when connecting to the BBS. If so make the change
right after you issue the dial command (d ###-####) to ACCU*LINK, this
will save some time.

SECTION I - REPORTING PROBLEMS

Billing problems may be handled by E-Mail on the Information System
(Type ACCU*LINK91 at the "Please Log in:" prompt) or by US Mail,
we would rather have you use E-Mail or US Mail as it will help us document
the problem you will be assured of a response via E-Mail within 24 hours.
If you are having problems logging on due to NETWORK problems call Tymnet
at 800-336-0149 BUT if you are having problems like a forgotten password
etc, call ACCU*LINK.
Please note: Support for the most commonly used communication software is
available, however we may not be able to help with little known or used
software.

SECTION J - BEFORE CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Before you call please make sure that your question has not been answered in
this text, it will save everyone valuable time, also the Online Information
System will have a section featuring the most often asked questions with
answers.
