Pinball Expo Tournament

Here are the results of the Pinball Expo Tournament; I had to leave

before the A Division 3/4 match ended, so I don't know who in that

match came in third and who came in fourth. Otherwise, I believe the

standings are accurate.  One possible exception: Bowen just posted

results for the manufacturers tournament that are different than the

ones I copied off of the official scoring board.  But I might have

mis-copied something -- does anyone know for sure how that came out?

(Also, there were a lot of no-shows in the manufacturers division --

Larry DeMar never made it to the Expo, and Pat Lawlor didn't return

for the finals on Sunday.)

One overall comment: I really dislike the way the Expo tournament is

run.  You basically have no idea what's going on, who's playing for

what, or when.  PAPA 3 had clear announcements, and there was some

sense of excitement as tournament play continued; at the Expo, you

wouldn't even know the A division finals were in progress unless you

happened to stumble upon them.

Anyway, here are the scores:

It's worth noting that young David Kaminkow's score was better than at

least one of my own; on the other hand, my dad is a lawyer, and his

runs Data East, so I suspect he has more opportunity to practice than

I do.  On the other hand, I have the advantage of being able to see

the playfield without standing on a chair...  :-)
