Spell Klutz

A Spell Klutz occurs when a spellcaster fails to make their roll and
rolls 96-00. This causes the magical energy to be used ANYWAY and a very
random affect occurring. If a target is involved then the Target will
get a roll vs INT to defend. A successful defense means that the effect
stated occurs TO THE CASTER.
ROLL RESULT

01-25 A TYPOED version of the spell occurs!
26-30 Target is SLOWED and loses 10 from all initiative rolls for
the duration.
31-35 If target is a spell caster then they cannot cast any spells
from their primary Tradition for the duration; if not then
the CASTER is affected in the same way.
36-38 Fresh Fish rain down in a 30' radius of the caster (1d100 in all).
These are edible and slippery creatures!
39-45 If this was rolled and the caster has a hung spell other than
the one they were trying to cast then THAT spell goes off instead
of the intended effect (they lose the spell and not the energy
of the originally intended spell). If they have no hung spell
otherwise then re-roll on this table.
46-48 Target has 10 gallons of hot oatmeal poured on it, doing 1d10+2
damage and making a huge mess (Oatmeal is Perm and must be
cleaned to remove).
49-55 The air in a 30' radius of the caster is filled with swirling
magical feathers that viciously tickle all exposed flesh for
the next 10 rounds. Everyone in the area is affected, except
those wearing Full Plate Armour, and will be at minus 25% to
perform any skill, -50% to perform skills that take vocal
actions (Singing, Voice Mimicry, Spellcasting, etc).
56-58 Popcorn begins to explode out from the casters hands, making it
impossible for them to cast using their hands for the next 2d10
rounds.
59-60 A dozen 1' tall orange 'demons' appear and remove everyone's
clothing, putting it in a pile and then make a circle around it
and vanish. The clothes will remain, but have been cleansed,
pressed and mended (even magical types including armour). Affect
is in 60' radius. Nothing can affect these creatures!
61-63 1d100 small rubber balls (1" diam) rain down on all within 30'
radius of the caster. All must save vs coordination or trip and
fall. The balls remain adding to dexterity problems.
64-66 Target is Speeded up, getting a +10 to all initiative rolls for
the duration.
67-70 The spell heals the caster for 1d10 damage.
71 Spell Heals target for 1d10 damage
72-74 Target (if alive) is LUSTED and will attempt to act on this as
its main attempt for the next hour or until satisfied sexually.
If target is not alive then CASTER is LUSTED.
75-76 Target is suddenly covered in whipped cream.
77 Ground under caster in a 5' radius becomes cold oatmeal
(5' depth). If inside then the floor in a 30' radius becomes
covered with slippery cold oatmeal.
78-80 Caster begins to laugh uncontrollably for 1d10 rnds. Cannot act
or defend themselves for that time.
81-82 The target begins to recite bad poetry for the next 1d10 rounds
and can take no other action. If target is non-sentient then the
caster is so affected instead.
83-85 The target and the caster are teleported into each others locale
instantly. If caster WAS the target then ROLL AGAIN.
86 Target becomes deathly afraid and must flee for the next 3 rnds
If not sentient then the caster is the one affected.
87 A large fluffy down pillow drops on target.
88 1d10 cream puffs fire at target.
89 The ground in a 30' radius becomes GREASED and coordination saves
are needed to make safe movements.
90 Target is suddenly bound with magical ropes (last till cut or
for 10 rnds).
91 A smiley face sticker appears on the target and lasts for the
duration.
92-93 A Mime appears and will mimic the actions of the caster for the
next hour. The mime is a magical construct and is not affected by
Dispells, remove curses etc. It has no affect on matter and has
Health 25 but only takes 1 point of damage from ANY attack made
on it by magic weapon or spell. It is an annoyance to the caster
and to others, making ALL attacks within line of sight of the mime
at -20% success.
94 Target is affected by a blast of cold (does 2d10 dmg).
95 A collection of 1d10 dragon-like creatures (but only 6" long)
appear and fly around the caster in various patterns. These have
no real substance but can be annoying and will reduce success by
the caster to cast by 10% unless Iron_Mind is on. Attacks against
the caster, magical and otherwise, are -10% unless the attacker
has True Sight.
96-97 Caster suddenly gets a craving for runney eggs and burnt toast,
a hunger that will last until such is eaten.
98-99 The caster loses the energy and permanently loses 1 point from
their magickal capacity.
00 The caster must make a save vs Spirit or they lose 1 point from
their Spirit permanently.
