CLUB LAUNCH DELAYED

The launch of the Jean-Michel Jarre Fan Club due for November 1991 will not
now go ahead as scheduled until January 1992. This is due to a technical
hitch with administration. Therefore existing members will automatically be
given an extension to their first years membership. Membership applications
will be processed as normal and new members will also get this extension as
well. We apologise for the delay in the official launch of the Fan Club. We
are assured that problems beyond our control will be resolved by January'91

CONCERT DE L'ECLIPSE
___________________________________________________________________________
The official cancellation of the concert in Teotihuacan, Mexico, planned to
coincide with the solar eclipse on July 11th, was announced on June 25th,
just 16 days before the date of the concert. The shock of the cancellation
of the concert was matched only by the original news of the initial plans
for the concert. Well over a hundred U.K. fans had arranged to travel over
to Mexico for the concert and it saddened every one of them. After the mass
of problems that beset Jean-Michel with the Docklands concert, this looked
as if the saga was rearing it's ugly head again. We will be reporting on
what went wrong, in the next issue of J.M JARRE NEWS.

EDITORIAL

Thank you for taking an interest in this our first skeleton edition of the
Jean-Michel Jarre News. Obviously we will be preparing a new edition which
will coincide with the official launch of the new Fan Club.
This being our first issue, is, as you would expect, a little thin on the
ground. However, the next issue will be full of features, a competition, &
many other items, including readers letters, a new member update, profile
on Jean-Michel, and discography. There will also be a section on members
Sales and wants, plus a section on merchandise. Record, Tape, CD, video &
DAT review, and a review of forthcoming events etc.
If you are a Jean-Michel Jarre fan, and would like to contribute to the
next edition, then we would like to hear from you. Tell us what you like
about Jean-Michel's music or his concerts. Anyway we would be glad to hear
from you even if it is to say that you have read our first edition. If you
want details/application form to join the Fan Club then you will find them
in the file MEMBERFC.TXT available from this BBS only.
