Should we stand back, and take it on the cheek?
Or simply take revenge in blow for blow?
Should we, the world's Goliath, feign the meek,
And let some unknown Davids wreck our show?

Let's treat it as an Act of War, but seek
To know the guilty first, before we throw
Our weight and might, to lay waste to their land --
In such a way! -- that foes would understand....

Pearl Harbour was a lesser act, indeed!
Be sure, before we plant those lands with seed
For instant bloom, to overwhelm and burn,
In such a hellish way, our foes will learn
This country will safeguard its lands and seas.

No hellish act will bring us to our knees.
