Part one
The pain of a child

A little girl gets out of bed.
She drops her eyes, she hangs her head.
She wonders why she's even here.
What's it like to have someone care?

A little girl goes out to play,
to find a way to ease the pain.
The prints left from her father's hand
are not the kind that help her stand.

The sounds, the smells, the awful mess
are what she'll remember of her father's kiss.
Each leaves hurts to strengthen walls,
to hide her heart, to block out all.

And yet the girl must carry on.
She looks for more in a world beyond.
She cannot face the world out there.
In one she creates, they always care.

How can you reach that little girl,
and take her out of that mixed up world?
She needs to see a loving hand.
Please ease in-don't just stand.

There are many girls in their own worlds
who don't remember being little girls.
Stretch out your hand-don't let them fall,
They need your love most of all.

Part two
The pain of the guilty

A man slips out into the dark.
Sins of evil on his heart.
To rape and pillage, destroy men.
Look at his life, Where did it begin?

A little boy drops his head.
What can he do when he's so scared?
His father's drunk once again.
Does the nightmare ever end?

The door slams loud, with a boom,
his mom left crying in her room.
Now he's the man of the house.
He feels trapped, is there no way out?

And so:

A man slips out into the dark.
Sins of evil on his heart.
He's fallen, but it's not to late.
He needs your love, not your hate.

Is any there to help him stand?
Who'll reach out to take his hand?
Look - he's falling one more time.
"Jesus loves you" - what a line.

Ask yourself "What can I do?"
Take the time and fill the shoes.
Go and love in Jesus name.
Please don't let him fall again.

Part three
The guilt of the church?

How dare you say you won't forgive.
Your hands are dirty just like his.
He's gone out and killed a man,
but your safe in the Father's hand?

How dare you say you won't forgive.
Jesus died so he could live.
You stand with judgement in your hand.
Where's the love that Jesus had?

How dare you say that you can't care
when you'd be naked standing there.
Without the love that Jesus gave
your road to hell would be paved.

A christian is no better than,
rapists, thieves, or murdering men.
The cross is what Christ had to bear,
So all could go and meet him there.
