How Strange .. here at Warwick, is a very similiar object to the
one you describe above.. it is a large cone standing upright and at night
it rotates and emits an eery glow. It has been nicknamed 'The Koan' and has
become an item of worship for many students.
However there has never been any sign of alien life .. unless the cone
is a life form itself .. perhaps the little green men are waiting for the
right moment to come out .. or perhaps they have left already and the cone is
just some sort of observation post ?
The object you describe above may be of the same type (?) Perhaps
there are cones scattered all over the place and nobodys thought to mention it
.. and slowly they are taking over.
