I would like to emphasize the point that was made a few posts ago about the
lack of any correlation between moral and technological advancement. The
European culture long dominated the world in technology during the age of
exploration, but during this period, we manged to subjugate, alienate, or
exterminate every race that they came in contact with. Today, in Britain,
America, Germany and the rest of the so called civilized world, we dedicate
a great portion of our annual GPR to create weapons capable of wiping out all
life on earth. By no means am I debating or protesting this, I realize that in
this stage of our development, it is a necessary evil, but we must learn to
deal with each other before we can possibly expect to deal with alien cultures.
