9.  Too busy reading exciting archaeological journals to notice the
    gorgeous redhead sitting at his breakfast table.

8.  Afraid that Vash would punch his lights out if he ever told her
    what he really thought about her.

7.  Beverly really his second choice. Was heart-broken after the
    departure of "good friend" Miles O'Brien.

6.  Bev not terribly interested in anyone with human DNA.

5.  Thought of having Wesley as a stepson too revolting to bear.
    Better a Ferengi or Q instead.

4.  She prefers her Earl Grey on ice.

3.  Thought of marriage too terrifying for any true Frenchman with
    a British accent.

2.  Was afraid she'd declare him "unfit to command" every time he       
    forgot to put down the toilet seat cover.

1.  She kept asking him to dress up in that "really cute" Locutus
    costume for kinky sex.
