For newsgroup: rec.arts.manga                            July 13, 1993

This article is posted every week to rec.arts.manga (except the first
week when the actual FAQ is posted).  Herein lies information about
the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) List for rec.arts.manga, which is
posted the first week of each month.
The FAQ is also available via anonymous ftp from
remus.rutgers.edu [128.6.13.3] (user name 'anonymous', your internet

The purpose of the FAQ list is to answer some of the most common questions
asked on this group, and to refer people left with unanswered questions to
available sources of additional help.  You should read the FAQ list before
posting to this group.

Submissions, comments, etcetera, should be sent to Steve Pearl, as above.
All such material sent will be considered to have entered the public domain
(and will be subject to editing) unless specific text to the contrary
accompanies the message (which may render the submission unusable).

Rec.arts.manga Frequently Asked Questions Lists

FAQ: Frequently Asked Question.  A question which is frequently asked
by new (or casual) users of a newsgroup.  In order to increase the
Signal-to-Noise ratio, some newsgroups have a person in charge of
posting a monthly list of FAQs and the correct answers.  The Manga
FAQL consists of four postings (hopefully) covering most things
new rec.arts.manga users look for:
1) An introduction to the newsgroup and its slang.
2) Answers to common questions.
3) Manga Resources, both electronic and commercial.
4) Recommendations for good manga.

This list is posted here the first week of every month and is
also available via ftp from the Rutgers Anime ftp site on
remus.rutgers.edu in pub/manga/faq
