"Star Trek: The  Next  Generation.   Often  overlooked  because  of  its
off-network status, this classy  syndicated  space opera lives up to its
predecessor's reputation,  and  certainly  carries the torch better than
the most recent of the bloated big-screen sequels" -- TV Guide  9010.06,

Please note that Encounter at Farpoint is counted as two episodes.  This
was necessary to have Legacy air as the 80th episode.   The number after
the date first airs, except for  Encounter  at  Farpoint,  indicates the
order in which each episode was made.   This episode guide lists epiodes
in the order in which they aired.  Your  local station  will most likely
air reruns in production number order rather than actual air date order.
The  second  number  after  the  date  is  obviously the first Star Date
mentioned in the episode.  Also  note  that  the date first aired is the
date when the first  sattelite  uplink took place.   Your  local station
most likely aired the  episode the  following  Saturday.   The  original
broadcast of Encounter at Farpoint was production number 721.
