Rules for Bally's "Twilight Zone" (L-3 ROMs)
                              in a nutshell...
                 ____________________________________________

General Layout:
_______________

--- Flippers ---
Four flippers.  Two at the bottom, one in the upper right for shooting
the Camera and Hitchhiker shots, and a smaller flipper in the upper
left for shooting the Piano.  Some newbies won't see this flipper, so
        make sure you do. :)

--- Ramps ---
Two ramps, next to each other near the top middle of the game.  The one
on the left, the "Robot Ramp" or "Left Ramp", awards a Robot and tells
you how many for an extra ball; every 1O Robots lights the Camera shot.
The Right Ramp either feeds "Battle the Power" or the upper left
        flipper for a Camera shot.

--- Orbits ---
One main orbit with two entrances; they are called the "Left Spiral"
and "Right Spiral".  At times, either Spiral may be lit for bonus
points or a "Spiral Award"; two Spiral Awards lights "Battle the Power"
and four lights an extra ball.

--- Other ---
-The Clock Target is between the ramps, and in some rounds is worth
bonus points.  Shoot it when it's flashing white, basically.
-The Player Piano and Slot Machine are two sinkholes; what they do is
         explained just ahead.
-The Clock is a big gimmicky thing near the Player Piano; it's hard to
         miss. :)
-3 Jet Bumpers located real close to the flippers.  They are your worst
         enemy.

General Goals:
______________

--- The Door ---
Shooting either the Slot Machine (right bottom, yellow light above) or
the Player Piano (right top, yellow & red lights above) award items on
the Door when the yellow light is on; this setup is much like TAF's
Mansion.  The Piano awards the flashing Door Prize (changeable by the
Jet Bumpers), the Slot awards a random Prize.  The Left Ramp relights
the Piano; the Right Ramp relights the Slot.

--- The Gumball Machine ---
The Left Ramp spots "Gum", Right Ramp spots "Ball" - once both ramps
are shot, the Right Spiral (to right of Slot) is lit (red light on top)
to load the Gumball Machine.  The object is to unload the Powerball
(white ceramic) from the Gumball Machine, then re-load it to begin a
        multiball.

--- Multiball ---
"Gumball" (by ramps) lights Lock to the right of the Right Ramp.  For
the first multiball, one lock is required to light multiball on the
Left Ramp; it is always to your advantage to lock two balls, and for
second (and later) multiballs, all three balls must be shot into Lock.
During multiball, shoot the Piano to score the Jackpot, then the Camera
shot to relight the Jackpot.  The Camera shot is located just under the
upper left (small) flipper, so it is to your benefit to hold this
flipper up when making the shot.

--- Battle the Power ---
A number of Hitchhiker shots (just below the Camera) lights "Battle the
Power" on the Right Ramp.  During "Battle the Power", use the magnets
to propel the ball toward the magnet, then release it to send the ball
into the scoring hole at the top.

--- The Camera ---
1O Robots (or a Door Prize) lights the Camera for a special award.  You
are told what the award will be before you shoot it.

Other Stuff:
____________

--- Powerball Mania ---
Upon re-loading the Powerball into the Gumball Machine, Powerball Mania
begins - try to shoot the Right Ramp for "Battle the Power" while other
balls are still going.  Defeat the Power and it's 5O million.

--- Clock Millions & Chaos ---
In these rounds, shoot the Clock Target to award x million - x is the
time on the clock.  In Clock Chaos, shooting the Target gives the score
and reverses the direction of the clock.

--- Dead End / Town Square ---
A hole located behind the bumpers awards either the Town Square value
or a Dead End (2x Town Sq.).  3 Dead Ends light extra ball.  The shot
for either of these is through the bumpers; it's pretty hard.

--- LITZ ---
Oh, yeah, I'll tell you all about that.  Not.  It's fun, that's all
        I'll say.
